  • Nope. Somebody requested his draft of Orient Express, though, but it remains unfulfilled.

Eric Heisserer wrote a script based on Orient Express?

Sorry, looking again it's actually Michael Green. It was requested some time ago, thought it was Heisserer for both for some reason.
I had the same reactions. I mean, I can understand it - just being a different time and that ending being so dark - but yeah, I just like the ending too much to see a different outcome.

I know Fox is trying to get another film off the ground. Hopefully that comes to fruition, or at least Eric Heisserer's draft finds its way out there at some point.

I take it that means Eric Heisserer's draft hasn't been posted in the VIP section. Bummer.
Also, I can understand Christie changing the ending because of the times. But, film producers (specifically Harry Alan Towers) continued to use that ending until 1989.
Yep. It blew my mind once I actually got a complete printing.

Have you ever seen any of the adaptations?

I would think it would've blown your mind once you finished reading it having no idea who the killer was.
I've only seen the 2015 and 1945 ones. I hate that all but 2 adaptations used the play's ending.

Thank you, it's my favorite book. I first read it maybe 10 years ago and my copy was actually missing the postscript - and I just found it so haunting. The image of the noose there, waiting for Vera... it gives me chills every time.

So, does that mean the first time you read it was without the postscript?
It is a very haunting story. I also love how perfectly the murders were committed.
