That's the excuse? He doesn't have time to scan it? Let's break it down:

Average script is 90 pages. Figure maybe fifteen seconds per page to scan. 90 pages x 15 seconds per page = exactly ten minutes. Who doesn't have ten minutes to spare in a day? Or a week? Or a month?

Sounds fishy to me. I would wonder if this person actually even has the script.

Well, what I think you have to consider is there are people out there with zero interest in the script collecting community. They collect rare hard copies for themselves and that's it. Plus if it's an investment of any type scanning and sharing ruins the value. But I'm not even sure that's really it. I think it comes down to not everyone interested in collecting is intersted in something like this forum.

Moreover - nobody has any obligation to give the slightest iota of a crap what you or anyone else wants. Nor is there any law that requires anyone to give thier time and effort to appease the wishes of strangers. This hobby is nothing if not voluntary. Individual wants are completely irrelevant because those three minutes you spent posting a request entitles you to absolutely nothing. Nor is someone - or something - immediately questionable because you cannot have or physically eyeball said script for yourself. People should be more thankful for what they do get and a whole lot less bitchy about what they cannot obtain. Especially if your sitting on your ass waiting for someone else to do all the hard work for you. Like or hate that viewpoint - I know for sure that I am not alone in these opinions. Which is the bigger problem we face daily in this community. That much we can all agree on.

Don't misunderstand me, folks. I didn't say he has to share it, and I never said we are entitled to it. I didn't say anything even remotely resembling that.

What I said -- clearly, I thought -- was that the excuse he gave is a lame one, and that considering how easy and quick it is to scan a script, I would wonder if -- not outright refute that -- he actually has it.

Maybe he does. Or maybe he got that picture of the script from somewhere else and sent it to mecha. From the sound of it, we'll never know.

That statement was generalized and not pointed, Lon. You should know by now that if I am going to make a direct stink ---- yeah - likely in a PM.

There is another unused Halloween 6 draft by two other people, Irving Belateche and Lawrence Guterman that is very scarce that I scanned which I can't trade or really talk about at this time. Also there is an early draft of Halloween 5 where Jamie Lloyd is the killer which a friend of mine has who's a journalist. You all will hear more about these in the news later, I'll leave it at that..

Thanks for letting us know about those ActBreak! I heard from some people about how there were more rejected scripts for H6 out there amongst fans or wherever, but could never find any detailed info or at least actual confirmation that they exist. The Origin script wasn't exactly unproduced gem, so who knows how better or worse all the others were. But the best news IMO is how the infamous "Jamie is the killer" script for H5 still exists. I really thought that one will stay lost forever.

Personally, only unproduced Halloween script i liked was Halloween Returns. Etchison's scripts were interesting, but that was about it. All the others... well, let's just say i had to skip through them. I remember thinking how those Asylum scripts were going to be something interesting considering everything that was going on with those, and honestly, they should have just been released much sooner.

And good to know that maybe we'll finally see the lost footage from Revenge. Now if only they would do the same thing for lost footage from Return...
