Layers of Skin sounds good, but read what Eszterhas' agent Guy McElwaine had to say in an October 1993 interview:

And what about that much talked-about Eszterhas script "Layers of Skin," about a lesbian cop on the trail of a killer in Palm Springs? It has never been written, McElwaine said.*

Let's hope he was lying.
No kidding. That really sounded great. Joe needs to salvage that idea and write it now, if he didn't. Would make a great role for Charlize Theron or Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Lawrence, who knows. Thanks for the article.

No problem, you're welcome.

Anybody has Lust ?
The script, a cross between "Instinct" and Fatal Attraction," revolves around a married 30-year-old beauty who is seduced by a younger charming playboy.
The last bit of news about the project was way back in 2011!

A repost of Sacred Cows.
The dumbest logline I have ever read in my entire life.
"The US President who has sex with a cow".
If this ever gets made (I doubt it), then you (Mr. Eszterhas)! You need to change the name of the president from Sam to Trump.
Thanks.

Anyone noticed the date on the script? April fool's. It kinda gives you an idea of the script and how outrageous it is.

Would anyone have Betrayed (1988)?
From IMDB: An FBI agent posing as a combine driver becomes romantically involved with a Midwest farmer who lives a double life as a white supremacist.
or
Music Box (1989)
From IMDB: A lawyer defends her father accused of war crimes, but there is more to the case than she suspects.

Wow, what a great collection from the legend that is Eszterhas, the rock god deity of any screenwriter. I urge everyone to find a copy of his book Hollywood Animal. Some great, rare finds here. Once again Beverly Kerr you do not disappoint!
That is a great book. A mammoth tome for an incredible life.

The story about how Sylvester Stallone got his name on the script for F.I.S.T. is amazing and just proves what I've heard repeatedly over the years about what a credit-hog Stallone is.

That won't happen. Eszterhas repeatedly acknowledges in his book that his career is over.

Mind you, if a very powerful director dusted off one of his scripts and insisted on making it that may revive him. But he seems very happy now that he has left the Hollywood lifestyle behind and found God.
