Obviously Henry Cavill will still portray Superman but who would be the big bad? I've always wanted to see a live action take on Brainiac

...off topic: I've always wanted to see a live action Red Hulk too !
Well, yeah, if it's in the MCU for Red Hulk.

Christopher Walken as Brainiac back in 1990's, Weirdest choice, but sure as hell would like to see Brainiac in MOS II.

I am so over the superhero doom and gloom I almost wish they would keep him DEAD and move on.
I completely gave up by the time the death of superman was so shoddily shoehorned into the end.

I'm sure Snyder will find more ways of showing pretentious Jesus imagery in Justice League.

As if he hasn't hammered the point home enough.

JJ is perfect for this, he's the franchise savoir, Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Star Wars, this is what JJ does best, he's great at resurrecting dead franchises that have fallen from grace. Think of where Mission Impossible was when he came on, critically panned, didn't make a whole lot of money and future was Grimm, he came in and delivered in my opinion still the best of the franchise. Star Trek was DEAD! DEAD, buried six feet under until JJ came in, the sequel (Into Darkness) may not have been all that good, but it's still a fun popcorn film. Star Wars (say what you will), but he's great at given old franchise new flare, strong female characters their time to shine, great action and doing great bits of homage to the franchises respected history, he's perfect for Man of Steel 2.

Like the fact that Kurtzman and Orci were horrendous writers.

Franchise savoir! WTF are you talking about? Star trek and star wars are two of the most popular flims series ever. On top of that they might have loyal fan bases out there. Starwars could have had Chewbacca farting on a snare drum for 90 minutes and still made 100 million.
Also MI:3 underperformed; maybe it was Tom Cruise's couch jumping or that the movie flat out sucked. Philip Seymour Hoffman was about as boring as Chewbacca farting on a snare drum for 90 minutes.

Call it homeage. Call it ripping off a franchise's history so the audience doesn't see the weak story and lack of imagination...

This guy sucks. He just knows how to play to the masses...
On second thought, he would be perfect for the DC universe.

Someone in this thread seems somewhat obsessed with idea of Chewbacca farting on a snare drum for 90 minutes. I am not going to point any fingers or anything. Just sayin' is all - The sh** just got a bit weird up in here.

I like Will Smith, and I'm from the part of Jersey within walking distance of Philly and all, but if he ever plays Superman, I give up on movies and life.

Yeah that is not at all racist. I say the same thing to all the people silly enough to hate the idea of Idris Elba as James Bond. Nothing should be out of the box in our day and age and that it still remains that way is sad. I am also full in for a female Doctor Who as soon as Peter Capaldi's brilliant ass decides to leave and not a second before. All doors should be open in my opinion. The status quo is what is making it all stale.

Superman is a ******* ALIEN!! HE CAN BE WHOEVER!!! The mere fact he looks white all this time is pure coincidence on the artist part.

I never mentioned anything about race. Will Smith just doesn't strike me as a Superman kind of guy. Race doesn't matter to me at all, unless it's changing iconic features of a character, like a little freckled, red-headed girl.
And as someone else mentioned before, Shaft. You wouldn't want to have a white Shaft, haha.
