Movie World War Z 2

Pitt and Fincher are still really tight (Pitt spent a lot of time after his divorce staying with Fincher), they have nearly collaborated on several other projects (including Finchers aborted 20,000 Leagues). Fincher was close to adapting Kelly’s Eutopia and as for this being a “sequel” I always assumed it would veer drastically from the first to garner Ficnhers involvement.

Be cool to get an IDEA of the direction Kelly’s iteration takes. Heavy, edgy horror?

Looks like this is going ahead with Fincher. Reports emerged a few weeks that filming would begin in March but Paramount denied it. March would make sense as Fincher should be wrapping up the editing for Mindhunter season 2 by then. It feels like forever since Gone Girl so I'm ready for any Fincher film even if it's a Zombie sequel!

It does feel like forever since Gone Girl, as a MASSIVE Fincher fan, this dry sprout we've been having, I'm going through withdrawls, I need a Fincher picture SOON!

I'm disappointed and relieved that this isn't happening at the same time.

Hope him and Dennis Kelly come up with an original idea to do. Otherwise I'd like Fincher to revisit older projects that have died including Torso, Black Hole, Cleopatra or Strangers on a Train. If he wants to do a zombie like movie he should adapt Avatar Comics' Crossed series.

I wonder about the latest written draft they were going to shoot. It probably has nothing to do with the one written in 2016.

Collider wrote that despite the initial pitch about sequel with lower budget and scale, the final budget was even bigger than WWZ's one. Plus Fincher was going to make R-rated movie. Paramount asked him to reduce the budget, but he refused (as usual), the result is expected. 200 mln budget, R-rating, minus China. From business standpoint this cancellation makes perfect sense. We would've probably got the best zombie movie ever made, but Paramount is not in position of making 100% box flop, they barely avoided bankruptcy.

I enjoyed the unholy heck out of the recent-ish Strangers On A Train remake draft I read. It was smart and fun while somehow managing to keep that Hitchcock tone and tension. It felt nothing like a Fincher movie at all and I would honestly appreciate him staying the hell away from it completely.

Captain - is the Strangers draft out and would you be willing to share?

Not at all as near as I can tell and it came of a industry drive which makes it automatically Taint restricted. It also pretty much stamps the overall availability of it if your paying attention. It should also be noted that we no longer trade or share drive or private titles to anyone unless your dealing from inside the Taint itself. Everything is in lock down to the masses - public and industry - as of Jan. 1st. The public end is basically completely cut off now less a limited number of existing contacts and members. Hence my building a new "pink" in the public area as my ability to deal anything rare or medium rare is someplace beyond limited to non-existent now. In terms of forum rules - I cannot even put semi-rare catalog titles out there anymore. It is a total shit show and sadly working out for the Taint so beyond perfectly that I cannot even begin to argue the situation on secondary merit. Which also answers all the bullshit floating around about the Taint disbanding or closing. If you did not hear related news from an actual Taint member - I assure you - said individuals are talking out of their ass and likely status pumping. Ignore all lose chatter unless it comes from a known member of the Taint. We just dumped all the secondary "pork" and went full "red meat" industry only. Which should shock nobody as it has been a long time coming.
